Anambra Primary Schools participate in Creatives in Nigeria

Some primary school pupils in Anambra state on Friday 25th October 2019 participated in the second edition of Creatives in Nigeria, which took place at the Kenneth Dike E-Library in Awka.

The event which was a brainchild of Miss Chisom Udeoba who had been passionate about reaching out to young people, developing their intuition, harnessing their potentials as well as improving their creative skills. Had an outroot from her Facebook handle and TV programme with the Anambra Broadcasting Television, where Young talents air their views on the reality of creativity.

This year’s event had the theme, ‘Your Child can be Innovative’ featuring great talents and skills found among school pupils.

Earlier before the event, Miss Chisom Udeoba with members of her team had visited several schools, took pupils through tutorials on artwork, paintings, drawings, poetry, drama and creative writing. Among the schools they visited were Community Secondary School, Okpuno, Phrankstars Academy, among many others.

Speaking during the event, the initiator and coordinator, Miss Chisom Udeoba disclosed that the event was second since its inception in 2018.Having just a few schools who participated but expressed joy that this edition had more than the expected number of schools.

She went further to explain that the event was organized annually to nurture and rekindle the creative intuitiveness in   young people especially children, so they can be future giants in the creative world.

Miss Udeoba thanked the schools present and members of her team for their contributions in ensuring the success of the event.

Highlights of the event were performances by the children in dance, drama, poetry and other forms of art. While other speakers took them through interactive sessions on creativity and innovation.

Fides observed that of all the schools that attended the event , the school pupils paid rapt attention and actively participated in  all the programme of the event.
