Obiano Marks 1st Year Anniversary Of 2nd Tenure With Thanksgiving Mass At Awka Etiti

Governor Willie Obiano has identified the massive support from the members of the State House Assembly and the achievements recorded in all sectors of the state economy as part of his major success stories in the past five years was.

Governor Obiano was who speaking during a Holy Mass to mark the first year anniversary of his administration’s second term in office, said that he will expand the State economic performance within the next three years.

Members of the National and State legislators attended the Holy Mass, celebrated at St. Joseph Special Science School and Seminary Awka- Etiti.

Governor Obiano, who appreciated Ndi Anambra for supporting him irrespective of political affiliations and inclinations, pointed out that the GDP of the State has increased from three trillion naira to four point-two trillion naira in the last five years.

While citing few successes of his administration, Governor Obiano disclosed that Forbes Magazine USA recently recommended the State government’s Community Choose your Project Initiative as a model for the development of Africa, assuring that he will remain focused and will not hesitate to change anybody who is underperforming in his cabinet.

In a homily, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke appreciated the Governor’s expression of gratitude, noting that three years is enough for the Governor to turn things around, urging NdIgbo to unite and forge a stronger front.

Speaking to the Newsmen on the Governor’s successes, the Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, the member elect for Anambra East and West, Federal Constituency, Mr. Chinedu Obidigwe and member APGA BOT, Chief Rommy Eze-Onwuka said that Governor Obiano has done a lot for Ndi Anambra and wished him well in the remaining years of his administration.

The Member representing Onitsha North constituency two, Mr. Edward Ibuzo, his Ihiala one Constituency counterpart, Mr. Paschal Agbodike, Member elect for Aguata one, and Idemili North Mr. Carter Umeh, and Mr. Ifeanyi Chiekwu, respectively pledged to continue supporting the Governor to deliver on his mandate.
