The month of July saw a lot of football activities involving primary schools in Aguluzigbo both mission and government at the Queen of All Hearts Parish field. This was engineered by the parish vicar of the parish, Rev Fr Ken Amakeze, who is also the manager of the parish-owned Holy Queen Secondary School.
To Aguluzigbo indigenes and settlers, it is a regular occurrence at Holy Queen school as Fr Amakeze has tons of programmes for the pupils and students cutting across all spheres of life. This time around, other schools in the locality benefitted from the catch them young programme.
The six participating Basic (Primary) schools included all the Government and Mission-owned schools in Aguluzigbo.
The teams were kitted by Fr Amakeze pet project YOWAMCA, and friends. The four semi finalists were kitted again by Aguluzigbo Dynamic Youth Forum (ADYF) Lagos branch and some companies and other sponsors like Uche Mmaduka, Prof. J. E. Umeijekwem, Sen. Victor Umeh, Lady Prisca Umeh, Festus Okonkwo, Nice Boy Paschal, Fr. Val. Uzoezie, Sir Martin Anuebunwa and Mr. Nwokolo Sunday Christian (Ntiwa Global).
Trophies and medals were equally presented to the deserving teams. The week long competition was attended by the array of government sports officials, coaches, technocrats, media and well wishers.
